    Hi,

    in your network model, BS are spaced out 100 km. How do you reason this model? In an actual commercial grade network, BS are spaced out somewhere between a couple of hundred meters and few kilometers.

    Another questions: You are using a 3-sector hex grid, which is commonly applied for serving uniformly distributed users. Aircrafts will have very specific movement patterns. How do you justify this system model?

    Hi Martin,

    Thank you for your question.
    Because this model is for Airplane, especially commercial airplane.
    The airplane cursing speed is approximately 800-900 km/h. Terrestrial network assumes that mobility of users is 3 to 100 km/h and some case 500km/h.
    this is the reason why we need the larger cell radius for handover.

    Hi,

    Thanks for another question.
    Yes, airplane fry specific pattern. It relates the geographical location of flight route or airport location. BS network design should take into account. the design process is almost same with terrestrial network design. The terrestrial network design also should take into account the geographical architecture, e.g. building height, road location etc.
    This is first study, then we used the general cell layout. in the further work, we need to consider how to apply the actual network design taking into account the airport location.
