in our work we investigate MU-MIMO transmissions in the LTE-A uplink.
First we present a post-equalization SINR equation based on the introduced system model which is exploited for link adaptation. Further we show that in this SC-FDM system an MMSE equalizer leads to inter-symbol interference compared to the ZF equalizer, which is obvious in the context of our matrix system model.
In terms of scheduing we show that, even when a fairly simple scheduling algorithm, such as the Semi-orthogonal User Selection, is used and the arithmetic average of the frequency selective MIMO channel is utilized, significant scheduling gain is obtained.
