    Thanks for your presentation. I have got a few questions:
    – Why do you consider chase-combining for HARQ? As far as I know incremental redundancy performs superior.
    – In Fig. 6, what do you consider as an outage event? SINR below a certain threshold?

    (1) It is definitely true that HARQ IR performs better than HARQ CC. However, since the performance improvement regarding the system spectral efficiency is not dramatic, we often choose to simulate with CC to reduce the simulation complexity and time.

    (2) An outage event is when all HARQs of a particular packet transmission fail. Then, the outage in Fig. 6 is the sum of the packets in outage divided by the total transmitted packets (some of them are transmitted correctly).
